Having been based in Dubai since 2013 we have gained an excellent knowledge of the Middle East recruitment market and to understand how business is done here. With Dubai becoming an ever more attractive hub for international business we are ideally positioned to work with a breadth of clients and understand the challenges of recruiting in this market place.

We have met clients in 6 countries since landing and looking forward to contining this trend in future. We meet as many clients as possible to understand their requirements, in a region where face to face time is paramount of a successful business partnership.

With a likely focus on Dubai, Doha and Jeddah in particular in the next 4 years, we are well positioned to continue our work as a reliable and efficient source of excellent candidates across multiple markets.

The current climate

The fall in oil production has had an impact on most of GPS Talents core markets. From a construction perspective, Saudi continues to push forward with many of its major projects, especially from an infrastructure perspective, whilst the UAE and Qatar have major long term focuses on the Expo 2020 and Qatar 2022 respectively.

The well documented actions of Saudi continued oil production has ensured there is still a sustained amount of activity. In Iran, there is a keen eye on what will happen in Q3/4 16 as they set to get agreements in place with a number of major operators, this progress though is likely to be slow.

In North Africa, Sonatrach will be asking its suppliers to tender for contracts running until 2019 in the next month which could mean some major business opportunities for the OFS market.
